I really like this book. I liked it because you can read about someone who had been abused their whole life. I couldnt put it down once I started.
I would recommend this book because its easy to read.

David met a new group of friends at school. One of the kids name is John. John is a bad kid. One day John told David that if he wanted to hang with them that he had to slash a teachers tires. David chickened out and left. A few days later John approached David and said that he had to help him burn down a classroom. David said okay. When Davis return to help him John had already started. David ran into the classroom and told John to put the fire but the fire was too powerful to be put out at this point. So they decided to run away but they were stopped by a little girl who said she was going to tell so they ran home even faster. Then the next day they had to go to the Principal's office.
I wouldnt want to change any part of the book. I like it the way it is.

So far David has moved out of his house into a foster home because his mother abused him a lot. David likes his foster home because he feels safe. He is having one problem though. A boy named Larry Jr. picks on David constantly! Then one day David stands up to him and hits him but he got into trouble because violence is not the answer.
The first question I have is will David's mom go crazy and take him from the foster home?
The second question I have is will David have to move to a different foster home because he fought in this one?
the third question I have is David really safe in his foster home?

Describe the setting including location, time period, and socioeconomic characteristics. The main character David. It takes place in Daly City, California. So far this book is a time period of two years. The socioeconomic characteristics is a foster home with three kids and they don't have much. In this house David and another boy who's name is "Big" Larry picks on David. Then one day David had enough and him up.

Dave has worn out clothes and glasses. He has worn out clothes because his mother didn't want to buy him new ones so he got clothes someone has worn before him. He is very shy because his mother would never allow him to talk to anyone.
Another Character is the lady he is living with now since his mom and dad lost custody of him. Her name is Ms. Gold. She has blond hair and Dave said she looks like an angel.
The author uses the indirect method of describing these people.

The name of my book is The Lost Boy by Dave Pelzer. The author is the main character. This book is based on a true story. It is about a little boy named Dave. His mother abuses him. One day when his mother and him were fighting he ran away.
